To comply with state regulations, a hospital collected fingerprints from each of its hundreds of applicants, utilizing print cards and “wet ink” fingerprinting.  The hospital was plagued with a fingerprint rejection rate exceeding 30 percent and turnaround times could be measured in months. What’s more, the entire experience was less than desirable for the hospital’s applicants.

The proprietary HANK fingerprinting system, provided exclusively by Certiphi's sister company, Fieldprint®, completely revamped the hospital’s fingerprint program. Fieldprint® now handles the entire process: scheduling applicants at conveniently located livescan facilities; collecting fingerprints; transmitting them to the hospital’s channeling agency; and tracking the process every step of the way. Fieldprint® also stores the fingerprints in case the hospital ever needs to submit them again.

Result
Fieldprint® achieved dramatic improvements in the hospital’s rejection rate and decreased turnaround time to hours for “clears” and days for “hits.” With fingerprints being collected by Fieldprint®professionals, rather than hospital employees or the local police, the applicant’s experience is vastly improved and the hospital saves staff time by not having to train and deploy personnel for the task.
