ICE Extends Form I-9 Compliance Flexibilities to June 18, 2020
Previously set to expire on May 19, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today that they are extending their flexibility policy regarding Form I-9 identity verification by another 30 days.
Beginning March 19, 2020, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) allowed discretion for employers and employees to defer physical presence requirements associated with the Form I-9. Originally set to last for 60 days, this flexibility has been extended by another 30 days in an abundance of caution as the COVID-19 pandemic persists.
