In June 2019, BIG's Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel, Sadeq Khan, passed the International Association of Privacy Professionals' Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) exam. This exam is designed to provide an extensive understanding of privacy laws and regulations and how to apply them. Earning this credential indicates that an individual has developed a keen understanding of certain European privacy concepts such as jurisdictional laws, regulations and enforcement models and legal requirements for handling and transferring data.

Developed in collaboration with industry leading law firms, the CIPP/E encompasses pan-European and national data protection laws, key privacy terminology and practical concepts concerning the protection of personal data and trans-border data flows.

Sadeq is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) and holds an Advanced FCRA Certification from the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Corporate Counsel's Greater Philadelphia Chapter and previously served on the Board of Directors for Philadelphia VIP, an organization dedicated to providing indigent individuals equal access to the legal system in civil matters free of charge.

Sadeq holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration degree from Villanova University.
