“Go live” date set for Connecticut’s long-term care provider background check program
The Connecticut Department of Public Health announced that its Applicant Background Check Management System (ABCMS) will launch for assisted living service agencies and hospice care agencies on Jan. 9, 2017.
The ABCMS is a Web-based system designed to provide long-term care facilities and providers in the state with a database to process background checks for new hires as may be required pursuant to Connecticut state law.
The system previously took effect for nursing homes on Oct. 19, 2015 and for home health agencies on Feb. 1, 2016.
